Blue Moon Swing returns! After a two month hiatus, Blue Moon Swing is back with a summer schedule. Our next dance is Saturday, June 1st, 2013, at a new location.
Blue Moon’s June 2013 Dance is Saturday, June 1st. Location: The ClubHouse at Marquis Caprock Canton, 4411 Spicewood Springs Rd (near Mesa Blvd), about a mile west from GoDance.
What’s New This Month?
Well, what’s new is our new venue for summer dances. This will be at the ClubHouse room at the Marquis Caprock Canyon, 4411 Spicewood Springs Rd. We have the entire club house to ourselves, as well as the veranda and the pool, so this is a swing ‘n’ swim social event. There is A/C in the Clubhouse for dancing, and a kitchen area with large frigerator if you want to bring food or snacks. You may also bring beer or wine (but hard alcohol is not allowed, I’m sorry). You are welcome to bring a swim suit& towel if you want to swim before or after you swing (uh, but maybe not “during” !). Or just put your feet in the water before the drive home.
Location: Marquis Caprock Canyon, 4411 Spicewood Springs Rd, Austin. Gate code, if needed: 4411. When entering the community, follow the signs to the leasing office. You may park in any open spot *except* no parking in front of garages.
We’re expecting a good group of newbies for a beginner lesson at 7pm, and the dance will go from 7.30-10.30. After that, some of us will go downtown for additional live music dancing. So come along and socialize and get the summer started right.
Minors are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
